The hottest trend in online marketing is website and media personalization and interaction optimization. [x+1], the leading provider of software and services in this space, is looking for a Product Manager to join the team. [x+1] boasts an incredibly talented, dedicated, and motivated team who is out to win and make the impossible a reality for our clients.
In this position, you will be responsible for defining, managing and promoting [x+1]'s product line including basic infrastructure, campaign management and optimization systems for the Site+1 and Media+1 businesses. You will be a critical thought leader in the organization with the opportunity to drive major change. You will lead the pack to understand our core customer needs, tap into the latest technology trends, and decompose the competitive landscape to create and develop a robust and comprehensive product roadmap and plan. You will work closely with internal [x+1] functional groups including sales, client services, engineering, etc., as well as many external customers and partners.
We are seeking applicants who have a demonstrated ability to work independently with clients, building strong relationships through a solid understanding of customer specific requirements and delivering solutions that drive real business impact. Requirements will be of a technical nature so applicant must be able to "translate" requirements to internal technical team. Candidates applying for this position must have a strong product management background preferably with an emphasis on online marketing or website development.
Traditional Product Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop individual product plans including business cases, market requirements definitions and functional product specifications.
- Clearly document and communicate the plans to the constituent organizations within the company.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle to ensure that the business derives maximum benefit from each product within the portfolio throughout its lifecycle.
- Provide strong proactive leadership to the product teams and ensure that projects move smoothly and efficiently from concept to testing through implementation.
- Identify integration points with other 3rd party solutions in determining product offerings and pricing.
- Assist in driving adoption for emerging [x+1] solutions (presenting solutions, supporting RFPs, etc.).
- Assist in the creation of technical collateral, manuals, white papers, and articles and online support resources.

Requirements include:
- A minimum of 5 years overall business experience including 3 plus years in a Product Management role.
- At least two years in an online business is required with knowledge of the enterprise software sector. An understanding of marketing analytics and advertising is a plus.
- A key understanding of product lifecycles with the ability to manage the execution and delivery of detailed product plans against key milestones in the development cycle
- Previous experience researching and understanding customer needs; developing product strategies, product plans, requirement documentation, ROI models and market justifications.
- Prior success developing and launching new products that have achieved success in the market.
- A strong track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with cross functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, professional services, and support.
- A strong technical background preferably in software and the Internet
- The ability to translate business needs into product requirements.
