Senior Online Optimization Analyst

[x+1], the leading provider of software and services in this space, is looking for a Senior Optimization Analyst to join the Client Solutions team. Summary:

The Senior Optimization Analyst position is primarily responsible for helping clients achieve the optimal ROI for their online marketing programs using [x+1]'s sophisticated predictive modeling technology, data analytics and reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years experience across a combination of data analytics, online/interactive marketing and marketing performance measurement.
  • Lead client optimization projects - be the person responsible for making timely decisions and maximizing the performance of [x+1]-optimized sites and campaigns.
  • Determine set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization modeling requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of optimization efforts.
  • Analyze and interpret data and synthesize information from variety of sources and translate into effective and actionable marketing plans.
  • Use query and analysis tools to define and track key performance metrics related to business performance, identify failure points or opportunities for improvement, and provide insights into key business and customer activities on the company website.
  • Partner with junior analysts to create, monitor, track & report appropriate web metrics versus established goals daily, weekly and monthly to key stakeholders & management.
  • Recommend website & product/merchandising changes based on insights drawn from site analysis & competitive market analysis that will improve overall performance in regards to web site traffic & the customer experience.
  • Provide reporting, analysis and online testing support and direction to the client online marketing team as well as the product management team.
  • Assist in evaluating the quantitative benefits of new business initiatives by having a thorough understanding of online customer behavior.
  • Support ad-hoc analytical requests for information from clients.
  • Use SQL and SAS to fulfill data requests, perform analyses, and write sophisticated ad hoc queries.
  • Manipulate available databases and perform data analysis & reporting to understand customer preferences, site usage, and to track trends.
  • Development and execution of customer level research and analysis projects.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Math, Statistics, Computer Information Systems or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years experience in quantitative analysis of marketing programs or website & customer performance.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methodologies for optimizing and evaluating marketing campaigns (i.e., segmentation, predictive response models, etc).
  • Knowledge of web site design, web optimization technologies, and their impact on the customer experience.
  • Strong analytical background, demonstrating an ability to collect data, analyze trends, find opportunities, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Detail oriented, well organized & able to assume responsibility for client deliverables with limited supervision.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-past, deadline driven environment that requires ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational, verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications; including MS Access. Experience with VBA/Excel Macros, SQL, SAS, or other data manipulation tools a plus.
Additional Skills preferred (but not required):
  • Understanding of internet marketing business models and metrics as well as competitive & consumer research principles.
  • Experience with Web Analytics packages such as Hitbox (HBX), Omniture, Webtrends, Visual Sciences or other analytical platforms.
