Prior to joining [x+1], Mr. Kim, 30, was a Senior Associate at Advanced Technology Ventures, an early stage fund with $1.5B under management, where he led investments in consumer technology and media. He joined ATV from America Online where as Director of Business Strategy and Development, he advised on marketing, distribution, and Internet advertising strategy; as well as negotiated and managed key partnerships such as HP, Sony, Dell, and DoubleClick. Mr. Kim has also co-founded two start-ups: Psylum, an Internet social network for hobby and video gaming and Blackboard, the leading provider of e-learning enterprise software and services.
