Position Description - Sales/Implementation Engineer

Responsibilities:
· Working with sales and account management staff to assess a prospective client’s technical integration requirements
· Working as an Implementation Engineer post sale to on-board new clients onto [x+1]’s products and services via project management, requirements documentation and custom coding
· Developing scripts and code to fully integrate a client into the solution as required
· Understanding the client’s business objectives fully and delivering a technical road map to successfully implement a client while meeting all business objectives
· Communicating technical concepts and best practices for implementation to non-technical audiences
· Being able to offer or develop new methods to successfully integrate a new client based on each client’s unique requirements
· Directly communicate with clients in person, via email and telephone
· Thinking quickly on your feet in the face of difficult questions and always remaining professional
Experience / Requirements:
· Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
· Thought clarity and the ability to provide technical presentations in a logical and structured manner
· 3+ years experience in a customer-facing technical position. Preference to Sales Engineer or Support Lead
· Ability to develop, debug and deploy solutions using JavaScript, Perl, Java, Unix
· Prior experience related to ad serving or ad exchange solutions
· A self-managed work ethic and ability
· Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to lead by example
· High level of comfort in deadline driven environments
· Ability to travel as required (10-20%)
· An eagerness to learn and have fun doing it
· A positive and optimistic demeanor
